I read the reviews of others and wondered if they were actually referring to my Dr. J. Lara, "who are they talking about"? I have been a patient for over 17 years. He has served me as an excellent doctor. He helped to save my life in 2004. He listened to me and my body. I have never experience any of the concerns expressed in the reviews. Why does anyone need to post anything about covid-19 when the whole world is aware by now. It should be common sense by now to wear a mask and distance yourself. I am happy to be alive... Thank God for Dr. Lara!
The receptionist at this office is notoriously rude .I called to make an appointment she says they don't have a computer to make an appointment and would take my name to call back ,the next day I called back to remind her about about it she tell me I have to talk to office manager Lucy and then would let me know in a day or two. I really don't understand why uneducated, unknowable people should work in a professional doctor office?? It is a shame and disappointing????
After being a patient for more than 20 years ,I am now experiencing a noticeable decline in the Dr’s bedside manners and the office operation . The Dr appears rushed ,not a good listener and gives a diagnosis (which is usually correct ) and doesn’t explain the illness , then quickly passes any follow up information or prescriptions onto a rude staff.i If you request to speak with the Dr at a later time , ,he will never call you back .Reception places you on hold for long periods. So ,if you like this kind of patient Dr and office experience then this is the place to go .If you want to feel as if you are adequately received, cared for , listened to and respected, then find another Dr and stay away.
Dr. Lara is wonderful but I had many issues with his staff. They never answer the phone so it’s near impossible to schedule an appointment and trying to get the results of your blood work will never happen. They never know if they sent it out yet. My bills have never been accurate either. Not worth the hassle to deal with the office staff to see him. Find another PCP.
Poor service. Bad attitudes. Do not look to this office for your healthcare needs they will cause you more stress than it is worth. They make you wait weeks to come in for a new patient appointment. My wife missed her appointment because we have busy lives and scheduled over 1.5 months ago. They didn’t bother to call to confirm the appointment. Then instead of being understanding human beings they try to act like omnipotent beings and penalize her by having to wait an additional 6 months. No one deserves to be treated an in inferior manner. Especially by an office you will rely on to take care of your health. Extremely disappointed and they should be ashamed of themselves.
